I am pleased to let you know I turned in my project earlier than the due date since I am trying to meet the deadline for a district to hire me. I have to admit that I did not know there was such a huge need for an ESL endoresement so I am definetely excited to soon put what I learned to use. Thank you so much!!! I have already been spreading the word. Thank you again. I never could have gotten through these courses so quickly anywhere else.
I initially registered for the course, Understanding/Teaching/Supporting Middle School Students, to meet state requirements, filled with a sense of dread at the chore ahead of me. However, shortly after delving into it I found myself eager to carve out time for working on the course because everything I was reading, viewing, or writing increased my understanding of adolescent students.
My beliefs were affirmed and enriched with added insights and many exciting new doors were opened, especially in the area of using technology with our students. As an assistant principal I am now better able to mentor our teachers as we develop appropriate strategies for our students and improve the quality of our middle school. This course was energizing and I highly recommend it for school staff as well parents.

I honestly LOVE taking Methods of Teaching ESL with ASPD because it really is opening my eyes to what I could have done in the past and can now do from now on in my teaching. I am sitting in a class room right now supervising for ISATS and already planning for the week after spring break because I am excited to implement what I have learned in class into my lessons. I am now waking up everyday excited to come to school because I’m feeling like I have some skills to effectively work with English language learners.
The other P.E. teachers are coming to me asking me what this ESL Methods class is all about and I love being the rookie of the group teaching them and showing them things they never thought of in the mind of an ELL/ESL student.
I’m now done with the two Middle School Pedagogy courses and that means I’ll finally be able to get my Middle School endorsement!
ASPD’s courses had great resources: articles, video clips and websites. I enjoyed reflecting through writing, and Tim, the instructor, was quick to respond to any questions!
I can’t say enough how happy I was to be able to self pace – it was key to working around my schedule.
Through this experience I have great understanding of an effective middle
school. I haven’t ever taught in middle school but I now have a solid understanding of what it really is – and especially the purpose of advisory and how to make it effective.

I am so glad I chose ASPD for my courses. Thanks to ASPD, I was able to complete the courses I needed for my Bilingual endorsement because it was fast paced and cost efficient.
Convenient location, low cost, schedule allowed me to completed tasks at home, spend some time with family and work with people I admire and can learn from.
I came in contact with progressive teachers and was able to share best practices in the classroom. I learned about the current laws in education, different tests, techniques and really study the WIDA (W-APT) and how to select tests accordingly.
The ASPD ESL and Bilingual endorsement courses were a great opportunity for me and so I would also like to help others in the same way … and the Learn With Friends incentive also helps!! I never thought I’d finish the courses in one school year. I’m now about to get an ESL position!
ASPD was there for me every step of the way while I took the Middle school courses. I received a lot of support from the teachers and from the director of the program. I learned a lot of strategies and methods of teaching the adolescence. I’ll send anyone I know!
I have been telling other teachers and administrators that completing my ESL Endorsement through ASPD has been the BEST professional development that I have ever taken! I am continuously using the “best practices and strategies” that we have learned, and I can see how these instructional methods are helping ALL of our students in our diverse classrooms! I really wish every teacher could have the opportunity to complete this program because it truly makes a positive impact on our teaching and most importantly our students’ learning!
I have just finished my ESL endorsement by taking the courses offered by aspdgroup. I have thoroughly enjoyed both the excellent information and mentoring I have received as part of every class! Because some were completely online, I was able to work at my own pace. I will certainly be able to use the content in my teaching!

Thank you so much for all your help and support. I feel happy knowing that I have completed the two Middle School classes. I have course work that will go towards a couple of different endorsements, but it was no good without these last two.
Besides having great people to help as needed, I found the website and curriculum instructions to be extremely user friendly. I have recommended ASPD to all my co-workers, and fully intend to return to take more classes myself, in the near future.
